The House

Can (Casa) Nadal is an iconic and monumental house in Caldes d’Estrac (“Caldetas”), in the province of Barcelona, Spain. It was constructed in 1883, commissioned by Josep de Nadal i Vilardaga, who became mayor of Barcelona in 1896. The architect Jeroni Martorell was hired to add neo-Moroccan elements to the house: hence its tiles around the windows. During the Civil War (1936-1939) Can Nadal housed the Republican Comitee. After the war the next generations of the family Nadal lived in the house during summers.

Can Nadal offers different spaces and a garden for a various kind of activities.
